Get Involved with the Festival
Volunteers needed! The organizers of Greensboro Storyfest need your help to make the 6th annual storytelling festival another success on May 21st and 22nd, 2010! We hope you will volunteer time to help with some of the following aspects of event planning and consider making a financial contribution so that the festival can remain free of charge to the public.
Greensboro Storyfest is a wonderful opportunity to bring together people of all ages and backgrounds to share stories and enjoy the power of storytelling.
Please contact us and indicate your volunteer area of interest. See the list below of areas where you would like to be involved in the festival.
- Marketing/ Public Relations Committee: assist in placing posters and brochures in public areas in and around your community or send a flyer to an e-friend
- Volunteer on festival day: assist with facility set up, AV help, guide/assist a storyteller, hospitality, staff tables where teller materials are displayed or sold, give directions, etc.
- Fundraising Committee: assist in contacting potential sponsors for financial support; solicit food and beverage sponsorship from local vendors for storytellers in the hospitality room,
- Festival Events Committee: assist in pre-event planning with sponsor reception, children’s event and other affiliated events.
